Description: Organization Profile: African Voices, a nonprofit cultural arts organization, is dedicated to highlighting the concerns of artists of color. The organization publishes a quarterly literary magazine that features poetry, art, short stories, and profiles celebrating the work and history of people of color. Established in 1992, African Voices sponsors poetry readings, forums, art exhibitions, writing workshops, and other community programs. Literary Series Profile: The Brownstone Reading Series is a bimonthly program that features book signs for authors. The event is held in a Harlem brownstone on Striver's Row.
