Description: ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE: Composers Collaborative Inc. (CCi) promotes new music as an integral part of our lives and culture. We foster collaboration between composers, writers, poets and artists in other disciplines; produce programs in innovative performance settings; and expand the dialogue between performers, composers, and their audience. CCi is a nonprofit organization registered in the State of New York. LITERARY SERIES PROFILE: NON SEQUITUR FESTIVAL, DYNAMIC DUOS Dynamic Duos supports the development of intensely interdisciplinary evening-length works by alumni of CCi's Non Sequitur festival. Musical styles run the gamut from Way-Off Broadway to Tuneful Electronica. Writers are alumni of CCi's Non Sequitur 2000 & 2001 festivals curated by Regie Cabico. CCi's Non Sequitur summer festival started in 1998 with a performance piece inspired by 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, orchestrated by CCi artistic director Jed Distler and abetted by 30 composers, actors, instrumentalists, singers, comics, writers and video artists. From then on composers, writers, filmmakers, media and movement artists have been creating interdisciplinary works specially for our Non Sequitur festival in August. Boo Froebel is literary curator of CCi's Non Sequitur 2002 festival.
