Description: Orgnization Profile: Rattapallax Press is nonprofit poetry publisher based in New York City. Each book of poetry the press publishes includes a CD or CD-ROM featuring the poet reading their selected work. In addition our poets and their books are heavily integrated into the internet and developing technologies (e.g. e-books, wireless communications, sound files, and so on). Rattapallax Press continues to be on the forefront of technology and publishing. Due to our innovative style of publishing, our journal, 'Rattapallax,' is available in most independent and chain-bookstores in North America, London, Paris and Rome. Most importantly, Rattapallax Press believes in creating a community of poets and artists who inspire and nurture new work. Literary Series Profile: The press organizes poetry readings around the world and in New York to present poets who have been published by us and poets we admire. We have had readings in Paris, London, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cambridge, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, Camden, and Princeton. In addition, we work very closely with the 14th Street Y in New York City in developing their reading program.
