ACW is based at Paul Smith's College, but we are committed to offering programs that are held throughout the six-million-acre Park. The Adirondack Center for Writing is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts. ACW offers the following programs: Writing workshops for all writing levels held throughout the region. Seminars designed to provide writers with both creative and technical skills. Newsletter highlighting cultural events from around the region. The ACW also collaborates with existing Adirondack-based organizations for literature programming, including North Country Public Radio; and sponsors the biennial Writing Contest for young and adult writers and the annual two-day conference, The World of Children's Literature, in partnership with the Lake Placid Institute and Writer's Voice of Silver Bay.
