(1920-2006) Novelist. Mary (Slattery) Stolz was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1920 and died in Longboat Key, Florida in 2006. Ms. Stolz was raised in Manhattan and studied at the Teachers College of Columbia University and the Katharine Gibbs School and worked at Columbia. She was known for her novels for children and adolescents.
