Biography: (1916-2011) Writer. Mildred Marie Barker was born in Pasadena, California, and died in Lake Katrine, New York. She was widely-published, her work having appeared in many magazines, including Ms., Nimrod, and The International Journal of Prose and Poetry, and in such anthologies as, If I Had A Hammer (Papier Mache Press). She was the fiction editor of the literary magazine, Oxalis, and a member of the Catskill Caravan, a group of traveling, reading writers. She formerly wrote career guides for the Department of Labor and was listed in the Directory of American Poets and Writers. |
