Full Name: Ellen Hardin Walworth
(1832-1915) Author, poet. Ellen Hardin Walworth was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, and died in the District of Columbia. She was editor of the American Monthly Magazine, the DAR's official magazine, and was one of the first people to propose the establishment of the United States National Archives. She was interred at Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs, New York.
