(1941-2013) Author, songwriter. Richie Havens was born in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, and died in Jersey City, New Jersey. Best known as a folk singer, he was also a songwriter and co-wrote his autobiography, They Can't Hide Us Anymore.
