Full Name: George Drew
Biography:
George Drew was born in Mississippi and raised there and in New York State. His poetry has been published widely in such journals as Antioch Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Hollins Critic, Mississippi Review, Poetry Northwest, Quarterly West, The Quarterly, Salmagundi, The Southern Poetry Review, The Texas Review, Vermont Literary Review, Yankee, and many others. Drew's work has also been anthologized, most recently in North Country (Greenfield Review Press), The Anthology of Magazine Verse & American Poetry, and Summer Shade: A Collection of Modern American Poetry (The Quill Press/The Cloverdale Foundation---Michigan). Drew was the winner of the 2003 Paumanok Poetry Award, was a fellow at Vermont Studio Center, and has done a guest poet stint for one of the conferences at The Frost Place. Drew lives with his wife and two children in Poestenkill, New York.
