Biography:
Amy Holman writes poetry, fiction and essays and is a freelance literary consultant http://www.amyholman.com . Her poetry has twice been nominated for Pushcart Prizes and widely published in print and online journals, including The Manhattan Review, Rattapallax, CrossConnect, Failbetter, Aileron, Unpleasant Event Schedule and Del Sol Review. She has fiction in the print journals, Night Train Magazine and Shade. She is currently seeking a new publisher for her poetry collection, Vanishing Twin, which was slated to be published in 2002 and was not. She has poems in the anthologies, Mercy of Tides: Poems for a Beach House (Salt Marsh Pottery Press, 2003), And We the Creatures: 51 Contemporary American Poets on Animal Rights and Appreciation (Dream Horse Press, 2003), The Second Word Thursdays Anthology (Bright Hill Press, 1999), and The Best American Poetry 1999 (Scribner, 1999). She teaches writers how to get published and has essays in Making the Perfect Pitch (The Writer Books, 2004), and The Practical Writer (Penguin, 2004).
