| Biography: Richard Foerster has worked on the staff of the literary magazine Chelseasince 1978, becoming its editor in 1994. A recipient of the Discovery/The Nation Award and Poetry's Bess Hokin Prize as well as fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Maine Arts Commission, he is the author of three collections of poetry, Sudden Harbor and Patterns of Descent(both from Orchises Press) and Trillium (BOA Editions, 1998).
