(1904-1987) Mythologist. Joseph Campbell was a mythologist and the author of many books on this subject. He was born in White Plains, New York, and attended Columbia University. His most famous work is "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" (1948). Campbell died in Honolulu, Hawaii.
