| Full Name: Paul Catafago | ||
| Biography: Paul Catafago is the director and founder of Movement One: Creative Coalition, a New York arts non-profit organization, which amongst other things organizes the annual Queens International Poetry Festival. He is a poet who has performed his poetry all over the world, including his native New York, where he was a regular at The Nuyorican Poets Café. A former human rights journalist, Paul Catafago lived and worked in differenct cities in the Middle East, including Jerusalem and Damascus. A born and bred New Yorker, Paul Catafago's parents settled in New York from the Middle East as political refugees in 1962. He has a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Maryknoll School of Theology, where his mentor, Marc Ellis, was considered one of the world's foremost Jewish theologians. |
