Event Description:

EVELYN DUNCAN, Ithaca, NY, was born in Cedar Run, PA, where she attended a one-room school. Her family moved to Binghamton, NY , during the Depression, and she graduated from Binghamton Central High School. She then worked in the proof room of Vail-Ballou Press before attending the New York State College for Teachers at Albany, earning a BA and an MA in English. GRAHAM DUNCAN, Ithaca, NY, was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, and attended the New York State College for Teachers at Albany and Cornell University. After completing his doctorate in English, he taught for three years at Russell Sage College and thirty-five years at SUNY Oneonta. He retired from full-time teaching in 1991. Free to age 18 and under.
