Event Description: Saturday, October 16 - Sunday, October 17 Saturday, October 16, workshop: Myth and Memoir: What's Mythical About an Ordinary Life?” covering: the elements of memoir writing, mythic themes, readings from contemporary memoirists, are there myths in your memoir? Registration: 9:30. Workshop 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17: Meet the Authors: Meet the Agents Meet the Authors: About ten recently published IWWG authors will share their journey to publication and share the book's story. This will be followed by a book fair. Registration: 9:30. Author Panel and Book Fair starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Meet the Agents: About ten agents will be on our Agent Panel. Each will speak about her perception of the marketplace and what their agency is specifically looking for. Audience members then speak privately which the agent(s) who might represent their work. If interested, the agent(s) will instruct how to submit your work to her. Over the years, this has proven to be the first step to the publication of many books. Costs: Full event (Saturday and Sunday): $180 members/$205 non-members (luncheon included on both days) Sunday all day (Authors and Agents): $125 members/$135 non-members (inclusive of lunch) Saturday workshop only: $125 members/$135 non-members (inclusive of lunch) Sunday only(Meet the Authors): $75 members/$85 non-members.
