Event Description: About "The Author's Voice:" The six German-language authors of Festival Neue Literatur pair up with New York City actors to give a sampling from their work, providing a taste of new writing from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland featuring Daniela Emminger, Laura Freudenthaler, Pierre Jarawan, Stefanie de Velasco, Dana Grigorcea, and Gianna Molinari. The event will be moderated by one of the festival curators Tim Mohr. English excerpts will be read by the actors Adelind Horan and Robert Lyons. The event is free of charge and in English. RSVPs are required due to limited seating. Please email us at deutscheshaus.rsvp@nyu.edu. In their books, a Lebanese-descended Berliner travels to Beirut to seek the father who abandoned him in boyhood; a young Romanian-Swiss banker finds echoes of her youth in the streets of Zu
