Independent Publishers Development Project

The Al Poulin, Jr. Independent Publishers Development Project, founded in 1997, is an initiative of the New York State Council on the Arts created in response to the significant changes which have taken place in the bookselling industry over the past few years. Our goal is to help promote the appreciation of quality literature by aiding small presses in the promotion and distribution of their books to libraries and various other institutions throughout New York State.
