Biography:
Bernhardt, a New York native, has received fellowships from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Penn State Altoona, Writers@Work, Summer Fishtrap in Wallowa, OR, Summer Literary Seminars in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Hessen Literary Society, Germany. Her work has been published in magazines such as Barrow Street, Columbia Poetry Review, Court Green, Fence, Indiana Review, and Quarterly West. Her poetry collection Echolalia was published in 2006 as winner of the Intro Prize for Poetry. She is happy to either provide books for readings or have host curator order books from publisher.
