Full Name: Richard Foerster | ||
Biography: Richard Foerster worked on the staff of the literary magazine Chelsea beginning in 1978 and served as its editor from 1994 to 2001. More recently, he was also founding editor of Chautauqua Literary Journal. A recipient of the Discovery/The Nation Award and Poetry's Bess Hokin Prize as well as fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Maine Arts Commission, he is the author of six collections of poetry: Sudden Harbor and Patterns of Descent (both from Orchises Press); Trillium, Double Going, and The Burning of Troy (from BOA Editions); and Penetralia (from Texas Review Press, 2011). He lives in Cape Neddick, Maine, where he works as a freelance editor and typesetter. |
